The Firm

In 1987, patent attorneys Dr. Alexander Witte and Dr. Wolfgang Weller founded a law firm in Stuttgart. Today, Witte, Weller & Partner ranks among the largest patent law firms in Southern Germany, with 13 partners, several patent attorneys-in-training, over 50 employees and additional branch offices in Munich and Tübingen.

Our mainoffice is located in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, and it is here that the largest number of patent applications are generated. We can rely on a vast body of experience and know-how in all areas of intellectual property, such as patent law, trademark law, utility model and design law, copyright law (software law) and employee inventors law. Additional expertise lies in interdisciplinary areas such as litigation, contract and licensing law and in consulting technology-oriented start-ups.

The areas in which we work are as varied as our clients. Witte, Weller & Partner represents small and medium-sized companies as well as large corporations and public research institutions, technology leaders in their respective fields of business in many cases. Our clientele extends beyond Germany and other European countries, to the U.S., Canada, Japan and China.
